Baska befindet sich in der südlichsten Ecke der Insel.

Egal aus welcher Richtung du kommst, gelbe Schilder zeigen dir  den Weg zum beliebtesten Strand unserer Insel.

Bevor du den „Beach” aufsuchst, mach einen Spaziergang Richtung St. Ivan Kirche, die hoch über der Stadt liegt.
Vom Weiten schon zu sehen, du kannst dich nicht verirren.
Wenn du eine wirklich schöne Wanderung machen willst, lass dein Auto auf dem Parkplatz am Bergfuß rasten und mach dich auf dem Weg Die gleiche Strecke – scheinbar zu schmal – kannst du es auch mit dem Auto schaffen.
Wenn du da oben ankommst, wirst du verstehen, warum wir dir diesen Ort vorgeschlagen haben.
Die Aussicht ist wunderschön. Man sieht die ganze Bucht „Baska”, dir wird den Atem auch dann verschlagen, wenn du keinen einzigen Schritt bis zum Gipfel gemacht hast.

Die Kirche St. Lucia findest du rechst von der Straße nach Baska.

Hier wird die älteste erhaltene Erinnerung der glagolitischen Schrift, eine Steintafel wahrscheinlich aus der Zeit um 1100 bewahrt.

Am Samstag zwischen 10.00-12.00 Uhr kannst du dieses kleines, aber aus historischer Hinsicht sehr bedeutendes Museum mit Führung besuchen.

Bitte, pünktlich um 10.00 Uhr hier anzukommen, wenn du die berühmte Steintafel bewundern möchtest.

Die Hauptstadt der Insel hat für dich eine Menge von Schätzen zu entdecken. Ein gemütlicher Spaziergang am Hafen, sich in einem Restaurant an der Küste zu setzen, um einen Kaffee oder ein Glas Wein zu genießen. Es lohnt sich hierher zu kommen, um dieses Ambiente erleben zu können.

Wenn man im Schatten der schneeweißen Burgmauer schlendert, spürt man in sich die Tausendjahre alte Geschichte.

Auf den schmalen und engen Gassen hindurch findest du den Marktplatz oder die wunderschöne Kathedrale.

Mittagessen im Restaurant „Agroturisam Jurja”

Komm bitte zeitig, weil dein Mittagessen wird schon ab 12.00 Uhr vorbereitet.

“Nimm eine große und runde Pfanne aus Gusseisen.

Mach sie mit einem schweren Deckel zu. Leg das Fleisch des Lamms, das Thymian, Oregano, Salbei und viele Kräuter sein ganzes Leben lang gegessen hat, in die Pfanne.

Würze es mit Salz, Pfeffer und Rotwein der Insel und lege daneben Gemüse als Beilage zu.

Das Ganze in den Ofen rein, oben und unten mit Glut 1-2 Stunden kochen, bis das wohl betrunkene Lamm einen richtigen Geschmack bekommt und du trotz vollgegessen doch noch immer ein Teil davon haben willst!

Den Rest kannst du mit Brot mit Oliven gestrichen mit Mangalizagriebe (gebacken in einem anderen „peka“) titschen.”

Vrbnik eine malerische Kleinstadt auf der Ostseite der Insel. Die Stadt wurde auf Felsen gebaut, von den Terrassen ihrer Weinstuben und Cafés gibt es einen hinreißenden Blick.
Um die Stadt herum werden Trauben angebaut. Zu unserem Glück.

Hier wächst Zlahtina, nur hier auf der Welt.

Weißtrauben, aus dem die heimischen Winzer ihren perfekten Wein produzieren. Es werden mehrere Traubensorten angebaut, und die Winzer nehmen mit ihren Weinsorten an Wettbewerben erfolgreich teil.
In einem der berühmtesten Weingut (NADA VINARIJA) kann man Wein kosten und kaufen. Hier werden verschiedene Schnaps auch produziert.

Du wirst um 13.00 Uhr am besten Ort der Stadt mit Wein- und Schnapsprobe erwartet.

Beim Mittagessen wird über das weltberühmte Zlahtina erzählt, um nicht nur den Geschmack sondern auch die Geschichte des Weines kennen zu lernen.

Nach dem Mittagessen kannst du auf dem Marktplatz goldene Oliven, Zlahtina oder Honig kaufen, dann los geht’s nach Dobrinj.

Nur 15 Minuten mit dem Auto.

Man kann am Stadttor parken, und von hier aus kommt man nach 5 Minuten Gehweg zum Auslug. Auf dem Hauptplatz triffst du Einheimische, die Zlahtina und Ozujsko (Bier vom Ort) trinken. Begrüße sie „Dober dan”. Sie werden zulachen, echt freundliche Menschen.

Aus dem Auslug des Kirchengartens sieht man die Bucht Silo und auf der anderen Seite Rijeka.

Es lohnt sich für dieses Panorama die Paar Minuten zu Fuß hinzulegen.

Langsam kommt unsere Pfingsten-Wanderung auf der Goldinsel zu Ende. Wir haben Vieles erlebt und sicher bist du schon auch ein bisschen müde.

Für heute haben wir nur zwei Programme.

Wir nehmen von unseren Gastgebern Abschied und wie besuchen das Restaurant der Familie Zuzic, das Haus Prsut.

Im berühmtesten Restaurant der Insel waren schon Minister und Landesvorsitzender auch zu Gast, um Prsut der Familie Zuzic, was schon seit 16 Generationen gemacht wird,  zu kosten.

Prsut ist kein Schinken. Wird nicht geräuchert, sondern im salzigen Meereswind getrocknet, ähnlich wie Prosutto in Italien.

Unter unseren Füßen kann man durch einen Glasboden sehen, wie Prsut eben gereift wird, oder aber kann man auch hoch gehen und im Obergeschoss in der Trocknerei dem Geheimnis nachkommen.

Herr Zuzic hat vor kurzem gesagt:

“Hier ist Alles aus Prsut. Das Brot (ja, in dem auch, wird am Ort gebacken), die Pastete, die Wurst und sogar der Wein. (Das war ja nur ein Scherz… Aber dieser wird im Keller neben Prsut aufbewahrt.)”

Now you can see, why we left this world famous little restaurant to the end! Nicht ohne Absicht haben wir dieses kleine Restaurant ans Ende unseres Programms gelegt.
